Japanese Influence in Guernsey
Floral Guernsey will be located in front of the Guernsey Information Centre with a programme of 15 minute talks with Q&A sessions:
- On the hour Malcolm Cleal – ‘Japanese Influence in Guernsey’
- On the half hour Asami Tasaka MD of World Sake Imports UK – ‘History of Sake’
Japanese-themed activities will be on offer throughout the day.
Samples of Okonomiyaki, an Osaka-style Japanese savoury pancake, and four types of sticky rice will be available to try as part of our Japanese street food demonstration.
There will also be a demonstration of Origami by Jason Holland, making Japanese Peace Cranes, with previously folded examples available to take away.
Finally there will be a demonstration of Japanese flower arranging and Bonsai.
