Community Competition 2025
The annual Floral Guernsey Awards Dinner is a celebration and thank you to all those communities and individuals whose projects have helped the Bailiwick look its best for the benefit of visitors and locals alike.
Around one hundred floral volunteers and invited guests from Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney attended the event on 18th September at Les Cotils.
Canapes and drinks were followed by an excellent meal.
We were very honoured this year to be joined by our Chief Minister Lindsay de Sausmarez along with Deputies Steve Falla and Chris Blin.
Our patron Dame Mary Perkins was also in attendance.
The winners were announced by John Woodward with comments from Rae Beckwith, National RHS judge and local judge Gary Le Poidevin.
There were 70 entries into the competition from the whole of the Bailiwick.
The overall winner of the competition and recipient of the Lady Dorey Trophy was Alderney.
The Joc Watts award was given to Liz Pirouet Douglas in recognition of the huge amount of work she has done over the years in St. Saviour.
The Douzaine competition was won by St. Sampson.
