'Growing for Success' talk. The
talk will cover the history of Great Dixter house & gardens, the major influences that shaped the place including Lutyens & Christopher Lloyd's parents.
Fergus will talk about the meadows, use of colour, style of planting & how the seasons are extended by multi layered use
of plants. Gardening in the mixed border style, Great Dixter is one of the most dynamic & exhuberant gardens in the country.
Included in the ticket price: complimentary pre-talk drinks (glass of wine/soft drink) The drinks are due to start at 7pm
& the talk at 7.30pm

Join award-winning nurseryman Raymond Evison for a guided tour of the
nursery & workshop, covering breeding & development, demonstration of how to plant a container, combining clematis
with other plants, pruning, feeding & cultural advice, propagation & a chance to see the latest cultivars before they
come on the market. A glass of wine & nibbles are included in the ticket price. Not suitable for wheelchair users. No
special clothing or equipment needed.

| Tropical planting in Herm |
08/07/2010 Guided Tour with 3 course meal - Herm Island

Join head gardener Brett Moore & assistant island gardener James Cordingley for
a private tour of the exotically planted gardens of Herm Island. Depart from Guernsey at 4.15pm and arrive at Herm
Island by ferry at 4.35pm to join the guided tour at 5pm, followed by a 3-course meal in the Ship Inn at 7pm. Meal included in
the ticket price. Please wear sturdy footwear.
