The flowers in town look spectacular and this is largely down to the vision of Nigel Clarke.

This afternoon will show the Clarke family at their very best with an event covering the past, the present and the future.

The Clarke family undertook to complete all the irrigation in town which involved five and a half miles of pipe.

This had never been attempted before in the whole of the UK.

Come and see a demonstration of the very first winter basket, hear how the irrigation system works, hear of the problems and solutions and how it is all funded.

What does the current basket look like? How many plants are grown?

Who waters and maintains the hanging baskets? What fittings are used?

Hear about the propogation of new plants and new ideas for baskets and containers.

This should be a fascinating event with a real wow factor.

Not to be missed!
