Vice Chairman & community competition Co-ordinator John Woodward, a National RHS judge, is responsible of the Floral Guernsey Community Parish Competitions throughout the islands.   The competition winner subsequently represents the Bailiwick in the Britain in Bloom competition.
Legacy Projects Helen Litchfield, Garden Designer, is responsible for the our Legacy Projects ( long term, sustainable planting ) and has completed Phase one of a major planting scheme at the Airport, and has two further projects in hand at present. 	Council Member & RHS Co-ordinator 'Jane has been on the Floral Guernsey Council as a volunteer since it was set up and has been a keen  supporter ever since. She was the originator of the Floral Guernsey Festival Weeks and until recently was actively involved in  helping create the programmes for the weeks . She now willingly lends support and ideas (for the Festival Weeks) but her main role on the Council is to coordinate the Royal Horticultural Events  on the island. Jane is a keen gardener and the garden at Mille Fleurs is one of the best known gardens on the island. Together with her husband David,  they run a small luxury self catering business and Jane also organises garden tours to the island. 	Friends of Floral Guernsey administrator & Volunteers co ordinator 63 year old Bernie Besnard is a life long gardening ‘nut’ who became involved with the Council through his Civil Service job. He is keen to actively support all aspects of the Council’s work but in particular administers the Friends of Floral Guernsey scheme and organises the Volunteers for Festival events. When not in the garden he is a keen charity distance runner having now done the London Marathon three times and planning to this again in 2012. He also loves music having over 1,000 CDs including some classical music but (reflecting his age!) primarily the 60s / 70s.
