Floral Guernsey photographic competition results
The results of the 2010 Floral Guernsey photography
competition have been released with first prize going to Fran Torode and runners up awards going to Esmee Carre, Delphine Jennings
and Snowy Hamon.
Fran Torode’s picture ‘Mighty Oak’
was the favourite with the panel of judges that included magazine editor Tamsin Westhorpe, local designer John White and Floral
Guernsey representatives.
This year’s theme
was Bailiwick trees with entrants being asked to capture a picture of a local tree. Floral Guernsey’s
Sarah Brouard says that the photographic competition, only in its second year has already become an institution ‘Perhaps
because we keep the rules very simple and we have such a wealth of inspiration, people really enjoy taking part. Plus we love
seeing the beauty of Floral Guernsey through other people’s eyes.'

A huge thank you to everyone
who entered the 2009 photographic competition. We had over 100 entries and our judges selected six of the best, with prizes of canvas wall hanging versions of the winning pictures presented
at the 2009 Floral Guernsey Community Awards. Click on the
gallery below to see the winning entries.
